	Configure, Build Graphics and Administer Software Remotely The unique feature, which distinguishes WebAccess from the competition, is that all engineering, database configuration, graphics building and software administration can be performed using a standard web browser as well. WebAccess is a "fully" web-based solution. WebAccess enables engineers, integrators and vendors to support their systems remotely over an intranet or the Internet using an ordinary web browser.
The Project Node consists of three elements: 1. The Configuration Tool - The Project Node software is a collection of ASP (Active Server Pages) organized into a web site. These ASP pages act as the configuration tool enabling ordinary web browsers to configure a WebAccess project. 2. A Centralized Database of the configuration of each SCADA node in the project. A copy of all graphics files, scripts and other components is kept on the Project node. Editing of the tag database or editing a graphic requires a connection to the Project Node. The database and graphic files are physically located on the Project Node. Changes to the database or graphic are not seen on the SCADA nodes until the changes are "Downloaded" to the SCADA nodes. 3. Web Server - A standard ASP enabled Web Server is used. This can be any of the standard web servers supplied with Windows 2000, 2003 or XP with IIS (Internet Information Server). A connection to the Web Server / Project Node is only needed for: Configuration DRAW The initial connection between a Client and the SCADA node When the refresh button is pressed on the Client A Thin Client connection Only Thin Clients, Configuration (Project Manager) and DRAW require a continuous connection with the Project Node.


WebAccess is available in multiple languages including English, French, Japanese, Korean, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese. Client The WebAccess Client plug-in is available for desktop computers, and laptops running Microsoft Windows CE, 98, 2000, XP (Home and Professional), Server 2003 and Vista (including Home, Business and Ultimate versions) using Internet Explorer 5.5 and later. Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0 support all features of the WebAccess client plug-in. The Client provides full-animation graphics and dynamically updated real-time data. Thin Client Interface The WebAccess Thin Client Interface requires no additional software. Intended for PDA and Pocket PC, any ASP enabled web browser can view the Thin Client Graphics including computers running Microsoft Windows CE, 95 98, ME, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista and Internet Explorer. SCADA The WebAccess SCADA node software is available for desktop computers, and laptops running Microsoft Windows CE, 2000, Server 2003, XP Professional and Vista (Business and Ultimate Versions). PROJECT NODE - CONFIGURATION TOOL AND DATABASE SERVER The WebAccess PROJECT Node software is available for desktop computers, and laptops running Microsoft Windows 2000, Server 2003, XP Professional and Vista (Business and Ultimate Versions).
Note 1 - XP Home is supported only as a Client. Note 2 - Windows CE Client has limited functionality (no scripts or video) and is designed for specific hardware. Contact your local sales office for more information. Note 3- Windows Vista running on some hardware platforms (for example single core INTEL and AMD) do not support Video, Tools, Reports and web browser controls inside a graphic display. It appears most Dual Core INTEL and AMD PCs produced after 2006 do support all features in the WebAccess Client using Vista. It is recommended to test an Vista based PC before using it as a WebAccess Client if you plan to use Video, Tools, Reports, Logs or any Web control inside a graphic display
