San Ramon, California Broadwin Technology Inc.
provides its WebAccess HMI and SCADA software for the
HVAC control system upgrades
at five Intel facilities in California. The project is part of the
building
automation supplied by Barrington Systems of
San Carlos, California and allows ordinary users to extend
lighting and HVAC after hours using an ordinary web
browser. The system also allows complete access and
control by facilities engineers.
"Our
expertise in both building automation and multi-building control systems used in
corporate and educational campuses around the world, combined with our engineering, project
management and field services, allows us to
deliver highly reliable solutions to make buildings more energy
efficient and reduce maintenance costs at the same time." said
Bill Curran, the president of Barrington Systems.
"We expect demand for building automation systems to
continue to grow, driven by energy deregulation,
increasing energy costs and the need to enhance facility
operations through the integration of building
automation systems with advanced information technology."
Using a standard Web-Browser, users can view and control automation equipment used in manufacturing facilities, industrial process plants and building automation systems. Unique to WebAccess, all configuration and deployment can be performed
remotely through a standard web browser including IO configuration, graphics building and remote software administration.
WebAccess is available for desktop computers and laptops running
Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, 2003, CE and XP. Internet Explorer
6.0 supports all features of
WebAccess.
