i.LON 100
Internet Server from Echelon.
Broadwin WebAccess provides an easy-to-use HMI and SCADA interface to LonWorks automation networks using the i.LON 100 Internet Server from Echelon. The i.LON 100 Internet Server is a high performance network interface that connects LonWorks automation networks to corporate IP networks or the Internet. The i.LON 100 allows LonWorks control networks and network interfaces to be easily distributed. The i.LON 100 provides a SOAP/XML Web Services interface for integration with HMI, SCADA and enterprise applications. The Broadwin WebAccess i.LON 100 driver handles the SOAP/XML interface automatically without any knowledge of SOAP or XML required by the user. The user only needs to enter the network or IP address of the i.LON 100 and the name of the Data Points to be read or written. Web browser software for HMI & SCADA - that works! Our WebAccess HMI/SCADA software is consistently chosen over the competition for its ease-of-use, simplicity of integration and lower cost. And one more important feature: it actually works using just an ordinary web browser. WebAccess is a unique solution from Broadwin in the field of industrial Automation and Control. An ordinary Web Browser is all that is need to view and control. Unlike the competition, no software needs to be installed on the client to view the WebAccess Thin Client interface. Others claim to have a 'thin client" but require special Terminal Emulation or other software to be installed on the client. Although intended for use by
PDAs, Pocket PCs, Tablet Computers and other handhelds, the
thin client interface can be viewed by any computer using a
Web browser that supports ASP (Active Server Pages).
This makes the Thin Client Interface ideal for infrequent
users unlikely to take the time to install the Plug-in or
highly secure clients that restrict software installation on
their clients.
Thin Client has been tested with the Compaq iPAQ series of pocket PCs. The Thin Client interface supports wireless Ethernet, TCP/IP, firewalls, proxy servers, routers and Windows Integrated Security.
