WebAccess commissioned at 120,000 point, 44-floor office tower.

Network Corp. supplies turnkey solution for the 40-story office tower.

October 31, 2005 - San Ramon, California

Network Corporation of Japan provided a turn-key solution to upgrade the Building Automation system for a 40-story tower to state-of-the art technology using WebAccess HMI & SCADA software from Broadwin Technology Inc. and control equipment based on LonWorks technology from Echelon. The office tower has 40 floors plus 4 basement floors, of approximately 66,000 square feet per floor for a total of approximately 3 million square feet. The system monitors and controls lighting, heating, cooling and the associated scheduling of equipment to meet the needs of over 200 customers.

Network Corporation of Japan provided a turn-key solution including the WebAccess software, 3 redundant SCADA nodes, redundant web server, SQL server, B-Track Gateways, advanced scheduling software, graphic displays, configuration and commissioning.

The WebAccess SCADA nodes monitor and control 120,000 network variables (NVs) from the LON network via 200 B-Track gateways. The Gateways also perform scheduling control and Change-Of-State alarming.

Network Corporation developed sophisticated advance scheduling software using a SQL server as the database to control the ever changing schedule of lights, occupancy, heating and cooling for 200 customers. Schedules are downloaded from the SQL Server to the BTrack gateways weekly or daily.

"Our customers require us to deliver highly reliable solutions that integrate automation systems with advanced information technology," said Paul Magoshi, CEO of Network Corporation. "We have known BroadWin's R&D team members for more than 10 years. Using a standard Web-Browser, users can view and control automation equipment used in manufacturing facilities, industrial process plants and building automation systems. Unique to WebAccess, all configuration and deployment can be performed remotely through a standard web browser including IO configuration, graphics building and remote software administration.

WebAccess 4.5 is available for desktop computers and laptops running Windows CE, 98, 2000, XP and 2003. Internet Explorer 6.0 supports all features of WebAccess 4.5.
